Dirty Dozen – 1000 Meter
Three Quarter of the challenge has been completed and everyone is still trying to do their best. 1000 meters isn’t actually a long distance, but it doesn’t seem to end when you’re fully loaded. This session was tackled by 86 athletes and four Austrian records were achieved.
The sprinters have now clearly gained the upper hand. Ivan MIHALJEVIC (Mladost Zagreb) set a top time of 02:56.1 minutes. For the women, this round went again to Scarlett GELESZUN-FÖRTIG (RG Grünau) with a time of 03:27.5 minutes.
Result List Weight and Age adjusted:
It almost couldn’t be any tighter. Anna ALIQUANDER (DNHE Budapest) and Claudia WIENERT (LIA Vienna) in second and third place are separated by 0.03 points and the leader Ute SIMMA (Wiking Bregenz) is only 1 point ahead. Excitement is guaranteed until the last round.
Result List in relation to the World Record:
Among the women, the leadership is firmly in Scarlett’s hands. In the men’s category, Ivan MIHALJEVIC (Mladost Zagreb) was able to gain points on Jeff CAMPELL (ISTER Linz). Here too, the last three rounds are probably crucial.
